It is Not Enough
It is not enough to
believe in God,
unless I am willing to follow his rule.
It is not enough to say that I am kind,
if I treat others cruel.
It is not enough to say that I love and care,
if in the next moment the seed of hatred is there.
It is not enough to say that God fills me with faith and hope,
if a moment later, I feel despair, and cannot cope.
It is not enough to ask for help from God up high,
if all I do is sit and cry.
It is not enough to be free,
I must be true to both God and me.
