Mission log: 7/22/08: Peruvian Jungle: Kevin Coolidge Mission Leader
AT Commander assigned me to investigate some odd ruins recently found in Peru.
He tasked me with assembling a crack team ASAP! We warned me that
there might be some Viper mercenaries nearby.

The team I assembled included Jimmy Kim because of his expertise in wildlife and fauna,

Alex Lopez because he is an expert in archeology and a Gung Ho type of guy.

And finally, Henry James Sheridan.  I'm not to sure about him as I am told he
sips the bottle a bit too much, but "Red" vouched for him. He seems a likable fellow.

We knew we were close.  The ruins surrounded us in three directions.  The jungle has made its home inside the temple
centuries ago.  The jungle was full of sound and activity.
Jimmy noticed a rather large lizard nearby.  It slithered away before he could examine it.  We would see it again.

We got closer to our goal.  Commander mentioned something about a rumored giant.  We took that with a grain of salt until

...we saw a skeleton of unusual size.  As we approached we estimated it to be at least 8 or 9 feet long.

We climbed down for a closer look.  It was about this team that the jungle grew quiet.

I had this feeling we were being watched, but I was also growing very excited by what we had found.

Our friend, the lizard was guarding the skeleton.  I didn't like that.  I was growing concerned by the second.

I told everyone to hold back for a moment.  Something wasn't right.

I told Jimmy and Alex to take it easy and to approach slowly.

The lizard started to hiss.  But we were more enthralled by the skeleton.  The head was way
out of proportion.

The lizard seemed agitated.  I didn't want my team hurt so I asked Alex to take care of it.
As if it could understand what I was saying, it leaped into the air...

...and knocked Alex off his feet.

We all froze for a second...

But Alex took his machete and cut the lizard's head right off.

It was robotic.  Obviously, Viper has been here before us and had this lizard follow us.  The skeleton turned out to be
fake.  That was disappointing, but we packed it and the lizard in up to take back to HQ for further analysis.

Just them, Henry pointed down towards the left where we found an Egyptian Sarcophagus in the middle of Peru.

This was really odd and suspicious.

Alex was going to open it, but I told him that with Viper in the area, it could be a trap.  But we couldn't just leave it there
for someone else to stumble upon it, so we carefully picked it up and brought it to HQ for study.

The End...for now.
